This explains what information Unleashed Reads collects, how it's used, and who it's shared with. We don't sell your data, and we try to collect only what's actually needed to run the app.
Account information: your name and email address, from Google sign-in or the email you use for a magic link.
Reading data: the books you add, ratings, reviews, notes, reflections, reading status and dates, Bible reading progress, and anything else you enter into the app.
Payment information: if you subscribe to a premium plan, your payment is processed directly by Stripe. We never see or store your card number — we only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, and basic subscription status.
We use your information to run the app: storing your library, remembering your preferences, showing your content back to you, and — only for whatever you've explicitly chosen to share — showing it to other users you're connected with. We also use your email to send sign-in links and account-related messages, like billing receipts.
We don't sell your data to anyone. It's shared only in these specific ways:
Service providers who help us run the app — Stripe (payments), Supabase (database and hosting), Google (optional sign-in), and Resend (email delivery). Each only receives what it needs to do its job.
Other Unleashed Reads users — but only what you've explicitly chosen to make visible. Your Library, Reading Log, Recommendations, Series, Stats, Notes, and Quotes each have their own independent visibility setting (Only Me, Followers, or Everyone), fully under your control from your profile.
If legally required — in the rare case we're compelled to by law.
We use browser storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences like dark mode. We don't use third-party advertising trackers, and Unleashed Reads doesn't show ads.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can request full account deletion at any time by contacting us — we'll remove your data from our systems.
Unleashed Reads isn't intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under that age.
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of storing or transmitting data online is ever completely secure.
You can access, edit, or delete most of your own data directly in the app at any time. For anything you can't do yourself — like full account deletion, or questions about what we have on file — contact us and we'll help.
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll update the effective date above.
